Chug, chug, chug went the Endean, Bump, bump, bump went the Garbutt, Chop, chop, chop went the Welbourne, When they scored I felt the Shrodells shake. They all stayed on with me, And it was good even to stand, With the crowd chanting "Come on you 'Orns" of mine, TIll the end of the line.

I have known dear Ken for 65 years. He was my Watford football buddy & former local football team mate in several local teams. I will miss his regular phone calls where we discussed our love of Watford Football Club. RIP dear friend. Mick & Jo King x

A memory I will always keep is chatting to Ken, about football (mainly Watford), once or twice a week, at the beach hut, Summer and Winter. Goodbye my friend. Dick.

There’s an empty seat at Vicarage Road It’s like turning off the light Because the spirit of the Shrodells stand Has gone to the Isle of Wight Is he going for family reasons? Is it just that he’s moving house? Or is it because when the Shrodells went He couldn’t get used to the Rous He suffered the cold, the wet, the snow A determined and loyal geezer Defeats, victories - he saw them all Now it’s Newport in the Beazer Luther & Mr Taylor were plotting to avoid the drop And then Graham said ‘do i not like this - where the bloody hell’s Ken??!! There’s a hornet missing from the nest We won’t see his like again here No more fancy footwork up Harwoods Road He’s dribbling on Sandown Pier!
